音樂靠邊站：《Beams》、《Steam Days》、《Shrines》、《陽光、歡樂、槍》 Sep 27th 2012, 10:57 文/陳德政 藝人：Matthew Dear 專輯：Beams 發行：Ghostly International 美國電音製作人Matthew Dear的創作歷程堪稱多元，在德州出生的他，長大後至底特律唸大學，受當地蓬勃的舞曲場景影響，後來又搬到紐約發展；喜歡的藝人包括英國大師Brian Eno與紐約新浪潮組合Talking Heads。汲取於不同地域與樂種的養分，直接促成Matthew Dear音樂中拼盤式的萬花筒形態。新專輯《Beams》發行於他創建的廠牌Ghostly International，頭尾兩曲都是超過六分鐘的長篇，中間九曲相對簡潔，旋律性較不突出（也可能是刻意不太強調）。我最中意的正是頭尾兩曲：〈Her Fantasy〉是帶有TV On The Radio式黑人律動感的舞池勁歌（還融入口哨聲），〈Temptation〉則似遙遙呼應了New Order那首同名曲。 閱讀全文
